电工钢硅钢片涂层为铬酸盐为主的无机成分混合物，添加有少量有机成分，以提高钢带的冲片性能。涂层具有一定的层间电阻，在中性气氛或弱还原性炉子气氛中，可承受的应力退火温度一般可达800℃，在退火时，层间电阻会有一些降低。涂层能承受 300-550℃的涂层烧除处理，可用于重建电机定子时，去除电机定子绕组的绝缘层，也可用于风冷式或油浸式。涂层基本情况和 A 涂层类似，膜厚增加，绝缘性更好，耐蚀性更好，冲片性也更好，焊接性略差。
